Royal Red Margarita

Royal Red Margarita

  • 2 oz. freshly squeezed Royal Red Oranges
  • 2 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz. Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz. silver tequila
  • Kosher salt or Tajin/Margarita salt for the rim
  • 3-5 ice cubes or one clear square ice cube
  • Optional: Sparkling water (for topping)


Cut a notch in a lime wedge, then run the lime around the rim of a glass. Dip the edge of the rim into a plate of salt (or for a festive look, use Tajin or Margarita Salt).

Single Drink: Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Shake until cold. Strain the margarita into the glass with the salted rim. Fill the glass with ice, top it with sparkling water (optional), and serve.

Pitcher: Place 1 ½ cups tequila, 3/4 cups orange juice, ¾ cup Royal Red Orange juice, 1 cup Cointreau, 1 cup lime juice, ½ cup simple syrup in a pitcher. Add three large handfuls of ice and stir until cold. Top with sparkling water (optional).

Blended: Add all ingredients into a blender, add 1 cup of ice, and blend until slushy, adjust ice/liquid as needed to get the desired consistency. Pour into prepared glasses and serve!

Note: Add a pinch of kosher salt into the drink before you shake it to make the flavors pop!
